Xebec Adsorption Inc. says it has enhanced its NGX line of gas dryers with a number of features that improve the equipment's performance for compressed natural gas refueling applications.
The company has integrated Endress+Hauser temperature transmitters that use RTD sensors instead of thermocouple sensors on the cooler inlet/outlet and heater outlet to offer better accuracy, easy calibration, higher resistance to electrical noise and better diagnostics for short circuits and open circuits. A phase-loss detector on the heater improves safety by providing diagnostics for the heater fuses and assuring a reliable RTD reading.
The NGX line also has an improved electrical-panel location to facilitate easier access, troubleshooting and fuse replacement, and main power entry through a NEMA 4 panel that allows customer installation with no need for a special seal near the panel, as well as offers the ability to modify the main panel with standard tooling.
