Power Solutions International Inc. (PSI) will be supplying multi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane autogas powertrains to AMP Holding Inc., which is rolling out alternative fuel Class 3-6 trucks under the Workhorse brand.
PSI's fuel-flexible systems will be integrated into Workhorse chassis models that feature GM 4.8-liter and 6.0-liter engines. Using PSI's proprietary controls, the systems are capable of running on gasoline, CNG and propane.
‘AMP is committed to pushing the fleet industry forward,’ says Martin Rucidlo, AMP's president. ‘This collaboration with PSI will help us do that by offering a full range of cost-effective, alternative-fuel engines.’
AMP acquired Workhorse Custom Chassis LLC from Navistar earlier this year.
