Wawa, a chain of convenience stores and refueling stations along the U.S. East Coast, expects to open a compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Paulsboro, N.J., next month.
According to a report from NJ.com, the facility will represent the company’s first-ever CNG station, and a Wawa spokesperson said the company will contemplate building more CNG stations at its other sites if this initial project proves successful.
“We know that use of CNG vehicles is increasing,” the spokesperson said. “We see the opportunity to provide clean-burning natural gas, which historically offers much more stable pricing than liquid fuels.”
