US Genesis EDGE Dual-Fuel Product Achieves EPA Certification

Clean Air Power, a U.K.-based developer of compression-ignited natural gas engine systems for heavy-duty vehicles, has received a certificate of conformity from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its US Genesis EDGE Dual-Fuel product.

The company says its Dual-Fuel system is designed to augment heavy-duty diesel engines to run almost entirely on natural gas, thanks to a small diesel injection. Clean Air Power adds the certificate confirms that its U.S.-tailored Genesis product meets EPA emissions requirements and is valid in 49 of the 50 U.S. states. The company has submitted a separate application to the California Air Resources Board.

“I am delighted that we are now in the final stages of our preparations for the commercial launch of our Genesis EDGE Dual-Fuel product in the large and rapidly growing U.S. market,” comments John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power. “Achieving EPA emissions certification is a major hurdle overcome.”
