Texas-Based Fleet Working with CleanFUEL USA on Propane Conversions

CleanFUEL USA, a provider of liquid propane fuel injection systems for transportation applications, says Texas-based Fashion Glass & Mirror LLC is converting an initial 40 of its fleet vehicles to run on propane autogas.

Fashion Glass & Mirror, which has a fleet of 140 trucks, is planning on shifting all of its vehicles to autogas as older units are retired from service. Fontaine Alternative Fuels, a division of Fontaine Modification, will perform the conversions in partnership with CleanFUEL USA.

The company also notes that it is building public-access propane autogas refueling infrastructure station at its Desoto, Texas, location.

‘Propane autogas not only offers substantial savings, but allows us to run a cleaner fleet throughout Texas,’ says Larry Jaynes, chairman and CEO of Fashion Glass & Mirror. ‘CleanFUEL USA has made all facets of this transition easy – from the vehicle conversions, to infrastructure installation, to the fuel contract.’

Texas State Technical College is administering federal grant funds to partially offset the cost of the project, the companies say.
