Stirk CNG and Sapp Bros Inc. have opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station at an existing Sapp Bros Travel Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The public-access CNG station, located at 2608 South 24th St., features multiple lanes and fast-fill dispensers suitable for all vehicles, including Class 8 trucks. Black Hills Energy provides natural gas to the new station.
Sapp Bros and Stirk previously teamed up to build CNG stations in Lincoln and Columbus, Neb., and they are nearing completion on a fourth station in Commerce City, Colo.
The partners will host an official grand opening ceremony for the Council Bluffs station on Oct. 28.
