Louisiana Clean Fuels is alerting fleets and other alternative fuel stakeholders that the state's Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) is now accepting applications for loans to support compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle and refueling infrastructure projects.
The Louisiana Revolving Loan Fund Program offers Louisiana-based government bodies, nonprofits and companies 2% fixed-rate loans (with terms up to 10 years) that will help in the development, implementation and deployment of CNG initiatives. The anticipated funding level is approximately $3 million, according to the LDNR.
‘Preference will be given to CNG refueling systems and vehicle conversions to be located in areas of the state without adequate CNG refueling infrastructure, and projects initiated by local, parish or state governmental subdivisions,’ the LDNR says.
Applications will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. CST on Nov. 10. For more details, send an email to larlf@la.gov or call (225) 342-4500.
