Skygo Fuel Systems and AMBAC International are nearing completion of the co-development of a dual-fuel diesel/natural gas aftermarket system for the Detroit Diesel Series 60 and DD15 engine families.
Skygo partnered with AMBAC International, which is manufacturing the new system in its Columbia, S.C., facility and will offer the solution following U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certification. The companies say they expect the agency's approval soon.
To celebrate, AMBAC International says it is offering special pricing for 90 days on all dual-fuel systems: Customers can purchase the Cummins ISX solution or pre-order the Detroit Diesel systems for only $9,900 direct. According to the company, that represents a savings of over $5,400 from the list price.Â
Additionally, AMBAC says it will offer a 90-day satisfaction guarantee on all dual-fuel systems. The current dual-fuel system is available as an aftermarket upgrade for 2007 to 2009 Cummins ISX engines.
