School Fleet Getting CNG Refueling Upgrades from Mansfield Energy

0

California-based Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) has awarded a contract to Mansfield Energy Corp. for the upgrading of an existing compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station that serves the district's fleet of natural gas vehicles.

The time-fill facility is currently designed to accommodate eight CNG-powered school buses – but the district now operates 15. In turn, the expansion will give the station capacity to refuel up to 18 buses.

Funding for the CNG station expansion is coming from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Review Committee (MSRC), which reviews and recommends projects for the state's South Coast Air Quality Management District.
