Schneider Electric has developed a UL-listed and SAE-compliant level II basic indoor residential electric-vehicle (EV) charger as the first product in a portfolio of EV solutions.
The company says the charger includes ground-fault monitoring and protection capabilities, delayed-charging functionality and LED displays in a non-metallic enclosure. The charger is designed for indoor wall mounting.
‘With our comprehensive solution, users in residential and commercial settings will be able to better manage their energy use and integrate with the smart grid,’ says Rich Korthauer, director of Schneider Electric's North America residential power business.
