Salt Lake City-based Powerblanket has developed a line of gas-cylinder warmers designed to control temperatures of propane autogas, compressed natural gas (CNG) and other gases.
The company's proprietary GreenHeat Technology safely and efficiently warms gas cylinders, which helps maintain optimum pressure levels and, when used in cold temperatures, reduces the frequency of tank refills and boosts BTU output.
According to Powerblanket, warmers are available to fit most configurations of gas cylinders, with capacities ranging from 20 to 1,000 pounds, and custom warmers can also be manufactured to fit larger tanks. The products feature a cinch-top design that minimizes heat loss through the tops of cylinders, and the outer shells are both winter-proof and water-resistant.
The company notes that the warmers are certified for hazardous locations (CID2 Tier 4) and are manufactured and certified to UL, CSA and CE safety standards.
