TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. says it is opening a new facility in Queretaro, Mexico, to produce advanced brake technologies, including components for regenerative-braking systems used in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Production at the new 150,000 square-foot plant, which will be dedicated to manufacturing hydraulic control units for various braking applications, is anticipated to begin near the end of the first quarter of 2012. The company has an existing facility in Queretaro, as well as another plant in Santa Rosa, Mexico.
