Luxfer Gas Cylinders has debuted the 26-inch-diameter model of its G-Stor Go compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders, designed to accommodate the Class 8 heavy-duty truck market.
The company introduced the 22-inch family of G-Stor Go Type 4 carbon composite tanks this spring. The new 26-inch tanks will be available in various capacities for multiple mounting configurations on different truck platforms.
With a full operating pressure of 3,600 psi, the cylinders are built around a purpose-engineered lightweight boss and high-density polymer-liner interface. They feature high-strength carbon-fiber and epoxy-mix overwraps instead of hybrid carbon-and-fiberglass overwraps.
Luxfer manufactures the G-Stor Go product line at its facilities in Utah and California.
