LA-Based DISH Fleet Now Operating Propane Autogas Vans

DISH Network has deployed 47 propane-powered vehicles in its fleet of customer-service vans based in greater Los Angeles. The company first announced its propane autogas fleet initiative, which will ultimately see the rollout of 200 vans, last winter.

All of these vehicles are Ford E-250 cargo vans that feature autogas fuel system technologies from ROUSH CleanTech. DISH is working with major propane company Ferrellgas to coordinate the needed on-site autogas refueling infrastructure to fuel the new fleet.

‘The ability to reduce fuel costs in excess of 30 percent, significantly reduce harmful emissions and utilize an American-made energy source produces a positive ROI for all involved,’ says Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing for ROUSH CleanTech.

DISH will be using the new vans to support residential and commercial customer service in the company's Hawthorne and South El Monte, Calif., locations.
