0

General Motors has extended ship-to-commerce approval to IMPCO Automotive for bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems on model-year 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD crew-cab trucks.

Trucks equipped with the bi-fuel CNG systems can now make their way through GM dealerships en route to customers, IMPCO notes.

Concurrently, IMPCO confirmed that these systems have attained certification from the U.S. Environmental Protective Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB).

IMPCO Automotive is a unit of IMPCO Technologies Inc. and subsidiary of Fuel Systems Solutions Inc. The company integrates single-tank CNG systems on the GM trucks using GM's OEM processes and standards.
