Fuji Electric Corp. of America has started U.S. production of its 25 kW DC electric vehicle (EV) quick chargers in Milpitas, Calif. The company anticipates that the first units will leave the California plant by the end of this week.
‘We have been working diligently to begin local production of our DC quick chargers in order to better serve our customers,’ says Larry Butkovich, Fuji Electric's general manager of EV systems. ‘We are now able to offer faster delivery on orders, and respond to evolving market demands and design requirements with greater ease.’
The UL-certified chargers represent Fuji's fourth generation of charging technology, the company notes.
