EVAOS Offering Fleets Test Drives Of Electrified F-150s

EVAOS Inc., a company specializing in hybrid-electric retrofits of traditional fleet vehicles, has announced its Fall Green Fleet Demo Tour. The California-based program enables fleet operators to test-drive a Ford F-150 that has been equipped with the company's proprietary ‘multi-mode’ system.

With EVAOS' system, fleet drivers can select from different operating modes, such as hybrid (45 mpg/highway), all-electric (40-mile all-electric range) or standard gasoline/diesel power. In hybrid mode, the EVAOS-enabled F-150 demo vehicle delivers over 500 hp and 550 lb.ft. torque, the company says. The EVAOS system adds 302 hp and 285 lb.ft. of torque to Ford's entry-level 3.7-liter V6 engine.

‘Every day, commercial and government fleets are challenged to reduce operating costs while striving to meet state and federal mandated emissions targets,’ says Don Matheson, EVAOS' founder and CEO. ‘Our multi-mode electric vehicle add-on system provides operator-selectable drive modes designed to address specific fleet vehicle operational requirements.’

The demo tour is running now through November. Fleet operators interested in more information can email a request to info@evaos.com or call (408) 658-6727.
