U.K.-based auto manufacturer Renault has delivered 10 of its Kangoo electric vehicles (EVs) to postal-service entity Austrian Post for use in its delivery fleet.
A report in trade publication Post & Parcel says this deal is the latest in a long-standing partnership between Renault and Austrian Post, which first bought 180 AWD Kangoos in 2004. Austrian Post now has 18 electric vehicles, 100 electric bikes and 75 electric mopeds within its 9,000-vehicle fleet.
The report also notes that Renault plans on delivering 10,000 of its Kangoo EVs to France's La Poste by 2015.
