Eaton Corp. and Coulomb Technologies say they are pooling their expertise and technologies to increase North America's complement of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
The companies' partnership will facilitate the connection of Eaton's Level II and direct-current quick-charging Pow-R-Station devices to Coulomb's ChargePoint Network, which features automated billing and transaction payment processing, 24/7 driver support and other real-time driver services. Eaton says its Pow-R-Station can charge a depleted EV in three to four hours.
The companies note that pricing and availability for Eaton's range of ChargePoint-enabled solutions will be released later this quarter.
