CODA Holdings, a developer of all-electric vehicles and advanced battery systems, says it has initiated production of its flagship vehicle, the 2012 model year CODA sedan.
The company says the vehicle will have a starting U.S. base price of $39,900 and a 10-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty. In California, the EV will cost consumers $29,900, after federal tax savings up to $7,500 and a California vehicle rebate of $2,500.
The CODA's battery pack has a range of up to 150 miles, and the 6.6 kW onboard charger provides a full charge in six hours. The CODA features 134 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque, a regenerative braking system and an air-cooled active thermal management system.
