City Furniture Inc., a large furniture retailer based in Florida, has begun fueling its fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) delivery trucks with time-fill CNG refueling infrastructure built by TruStar Energy LLC.
The station is located at City Furniture's headquarters and warehouse location in Tamarac, Fla. The company is on track to shift its entire 90-truck fleet to natural gas within the next three years.
‘We made the decision after extensive due diligence – researching vehicle manufacturers, speaking with station builders throughout the U.S. and abroad, and meeting with owners of CNG stations and county leaders aware of the CNG technology,’ says Keith Koenig, president of City Furniture. ‘We concluded that the ROI payback was strong.’
