Clean Energy Partners with Refuse Fleet to Build CNG Station in CT

0

New Haven, Conn.-based All American Waste is working with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to build its second compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling facility, following the company's initial launch of CNG operations a year ago.

Clean Energy will operate the new facility, which will consist of 40 time-fill fueling posts to serve All American Waste's heavy-duty refuse vehicles. The station, to be developed at 19 Wheeler St. in New Haven, will also feature a pair of dual-hose fast-fill dispensers that will be open to the public.

Six of All American Waste's CNG refuse trucks (out of a total of 40 CNG vehicles) will access fuel at the new time-fill facility. The company plans on adding more NGVs to its refuse fleet as its diesel-powered units are retired from service.

Clean Energy notes that the new CNG station will be operational in the fourth quarter.
