Chart Industries Inc. has developed a high-capacity liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system designed to integrate into truck and bus platforms directly on the assembly line.
Chart says the system is available as a ‘self-contained unit for simplified and expedited installation.’ The single-tank capacity is slightly greater than 100 diesel gallon equivalent (DGE).
‘Providing 100 DGE of storage in a single fuel tank will make LNG an even more attractive cost, space, weight and driving-range alternative in heavy-duty truck and bus applications,’ says Tom Carey, president of Chart's Distribution & Storage Group.
