Hug Filtersystems says the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has verified its mobiclean R diesel particulate filter for use with most non-EGR on-road diesel vehicles manufactured from 1991 to 2006.
The mobiclean R system provides emission reductions of diesel particulate matter by at least 85% and is designated as a California Level 3 Plus system, the company says. It can be applied to diesel engines from 3.4 L to 16 L in any type of on-road application
The Hug mobiclean R system employs the company's proprietary CleanCoat material, which allows self-cleaning regeneration to starts at 200 degrees C. This allows Hug filters to be used in stop-and-go vehicles, such as school buses, municipal utility trucks and waste haulers.
