Bosch Automotive Service Solutions has debuted its Power Max 240 V electric vehicle (EV) charging station. Bosch says the Level 2 charger is the first in the industry to be priced under $450.

The company says the product is designed to charge all varieties of electric vehicles, and is available in 16 A or 30 A configurations with a cord length of up to 25 feet. A NEMA 3R enclosure makes the unit suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, and standard safety features include a cord breakaway system and non-live-current wire. Bosch notes that the charger is UL-certified in the U.S. and Canada.

‘We are excited to offer the Power Max, as it accomplishes this objective: a superior product at nearly half the price of the current products on the market,’ says Tanvir Arfi, president of Bosch Automotive Service Solutions.

Bosch Automotive Service Solutions, formerly SPX Service Solutions, has provided more than 16,000 EV charging stations and performed more than 6,000 installations, including the SPX Power Xpress.

Bosch is now taking advance orders for the Power Max, which will begin shipping in early June. Call (877) 805-3873 for more details or to place an order.
