Atlanta Gas Light Looking For CNG Station Developers

0

Atlanta Gas Light Co. (AGL) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the development of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in Georgia.

In November 2011, the Georgia Public Service Commission approved a five-year program supporting new CNG fueling infrastructure, and AGL will provide CNG delivery service under a new rate to retail station owners through this program. Some proceeds from the program will also allow AGL to offer leases on home-based refueling devices to individuals who own CNG vehicles.

As a part of the RFP, applicants must demonstrate they can secure the real estate for the station; develop the site consistent with local zoning; install the CNG dispensers and make other necessary site improvements; and hold contracts with fleet customers to utilize what amounts to approximately 20% of a proposed station's fueling capacity.

More detailed information about the RFP is available HERE.
