APG Finds Partner To Help Bring Natural Gas Conversions To The DoD

0

American Power Group Inc. (APG) says it is partnering with The Horizon Strategies Group LLC (HSG) to market APG's Turbocharged Natural Gas dual-fuel engine conversion technology to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Turbocharged Natural Gas technology is designed for after-market vehicular and stationary diesel engines. The conversions pair traditional diesel with liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) or biomethane.

‘The DoD has ships, planes, vehicles and generators designed to use 100 percent petroleum-based fuels for the foreseeable future and are looking for an alternative fuel technology that is compatible with their existing equipment and storage infrastructure,’ says Lyle Jensen, APG's president and CEO. ‘We believe APG's natural gas conversion technology can become a viable solution in reducing the cost and emissions of diesel fuel used in all branches of the federal government.’

HSG, which is heavily staffed with professionals who have worked for the DoD and in intelligence community, focuses on matching emerging technologies with government customers.
