Ameripride Puts Compressed Natural Gas to Work in Its Fleet

Ameripride Services, a linen and uniform rental company that operates a large fleet of medium-duty commercial vehicles, has deployed five compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks in its service territory in and around Omaha, Neb.

Green Alternative Systems (GAS) installed BAF Technologies/Westport Innovations dedicated CNG systems on Ford F-550 chassis. These vehicles use Ford's 6.8-liter V-10 engine.

‘We are pleased to work with a very progressive company like Ameripride that understands the financial benefits of converting to alternative fuels,’ says Sean Connolly, general manager of Green Alternative Systems.

Ameripride will refuel its new natural gas vehicles at a public-access CNG station off I-80 in Omaha. CNG retails for less than $2.00/GGE at the facility.
