Alliance AutoGas says it recently received U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications for the Prins VSI propane autogas system on more than 50 vehicle platforms.
According to Alliance AutoGas, which is the authorized distributor of Prins autogas technologies in the U.S., the EPA certifications cover model-year 2012 and 2013 vehicles that use the GM 4.9- and 6.0-liter engines. Pickup truck and van platforms such as the Chevy Silverado and Express are among the covered vehicle families.
Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas, notes that the company is expecting nine additional EPA certifications by the end of the year. Blossman Services Inc., the equipment technology provider of Alliance AutoGas, is the entity pursuing the certifications.
‘We are hastening the pace of the certifications while continuing to build our support and training network on a daily basis,’ he says.
Alliance AutoGas coordinates propane autogas vehicle conversions and the associated refueling infrastructure installations, along with maintenance and training support, through a network of more than 90 partner companies in North America.
