Alabama Police Fleet Vehicles Shift To Propane Autogas

The City of Mobile, Ala., recently partnered with Alliance AutoGas and Force 911 to complete the conversion of 30 law enforcement fleet vehicles to propane autogas bi-fuel units. Alliance AutoGas also coordinated the installation of a propane fueling station and the training of city staff to operate and maintain the vehicles.

‘The conversion of part of Mobile's fleet has been extremely positive and will serve as a benchmark to further our commitment to the environment and saving tax dollars,’ said Sam Jones, mayor of the city. ‘Both are quite rewarding at a time when cities are faced with unprecedented financial challenges.’

Mobile has a total of 60 autogas fleet vehicles, including 30 public works vehicles that were also converted through Alliance AutoGas.
