AGA Systems, a company that focuses on alternative fuel vehicle technologies, has received U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for its proprietary DuraDrive compressed natural gas (CNG) bi-fuel system.
AGA says the system is now available for 2013 General Motors and Isuzu adaptable chassis platforms, such as a cutaway van, utility service body and bed-delete. DuraDrive is also able to be integrated with the Isuzu NPR. The technology is applicable to the 6.0-liter gaseous-prep engine for both above and below 14,000 GVW vehicle classes.
To integrate the DuraDrive system, fleet owners select the desired GM or Isuzu adaptable chassis truck configuration, CNG tank size and location, accessories and instrumentation, and other aftermarket accessories, and a trained and certified AGA partner installers handles the conversion. The company and partners from the network thereafter provide ongoing customer and technical support.
AGA says there are ‘virtually no limitations on truck body, bed or engine configuration and no limitations on the choice of other truck accessories’ when configuring a vehicles with the DuraDrive system.
