AGA Systems LLC says it has received the first order for its new bi-fuel propane autogas DuraDrive DI-LPG conversion system for GM's 5.3-liter direct injection engine.
The propane configuration of the DuraDrive DI system is based on the same technology found in AGA Systems' bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) platforms for the 5.3-liter GM engine. That CNG system is EPA-certified for integration into 2014 and 2015 GM pickups and SUVs.
Now, GM fleet customers can also retrofit 2014 and 2015 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks and 2015 GM SUVs, such as the Tahoe and Yukon, with bi-fuel propane systems.
