World CNG Planning Move into New NGV Conversion Center

Officials in Mount Prospect, Ill., recently approved World CNG's plans to site a compressed natural gas vehicle conversion facility in the community.

World CNG, a Kent, Wash.-based firm that specializes in NGV conversions, is seeking to move from an existing location in Chicago to a property at 1900-1980 Carboy Rd. in Mount Prospect. The new location, which is located near a Clean Energy Fuels CNG station, would give World CNG 21,000 square feet of space for performing vehicle conversions.

World CNG chief operating officer Roger Buttacavoli told the Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, Ill.) that the new location could accommodate about a dozen vehicles inside the facility and another 20 outside.

In addition to operations in Washington and Illinois, the company also has an NGV conversion facility in Las Vegas.
