First Priority Group LLC (FPB) – a manufacturer, dealer, upfitter and service provider of emergency and specialty vehicles – has announced that Mike Britt, a global clean transportation pioneer and UPS fleet innovator, is joining the company’s advisory board.
Britt will work closely with FPG’s GreenFleet and Emergency Vehicles divisions on their platform design, conversion, maintenance and expansion strategies. In 2017, First Priority GreenFleet began deploying the largest-ever electric school bus roll-out in the U.S., the company claims. The company is also an independent service provider for UPS, Frito Lay, Staples and other major fleets.
According to FPB, Britt spent 30 years transforming UPS trucking fleets and charting its strategy in clean fleet technology. Prior to his retirement, he was UPS’ director of maintenance and engineering of its international operations. While at UPS, Britt’s efforts included fuel projects and technology development for both domestic and international fleets. Some of these projects included compressed natural gas, electric technology and hybrid vehicle development, says FPB.
