UPS Adds Liquefied Natural Gas Refueling to Memphis Hub

0

UPS recently completed the installation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling infrastructure at its facility in Memphis, Tenn., to support the company's growing fleet of natural gas vehicles.

The Memphis LNG station is a part of UPS' larger initiative to build refueling capability in several regions where it is rolling out LNG-powered heavy-duty tractors. In Memphis alone, 59 new LNG trucks are now in operation – the company is aiming to deploy several hundred across its service territory.

UPS' Memphis hub is located on Swinnea Rd., adjacent to Memphis International Airport. Substantial upgrades to this facility recently commenced, including 140,000 square feet of new building space for its package distribution operations.
