Not long after announcing a separate employee appointment, TruStar Energy, a developer of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations, has named Steve Phillips senior vice president of sales and marketing.
TruStar Energy says that as a 26-year veteran of the transportation industry, Phillips has been instrumental over the past couple of years in developing Werner Enterprise's CNG trucking fleet. He will now put that knowledge and experience to work by helping TruStar's customers make the switch to CNG.
Adam Comora, president of TruStar Energy, says, ‘His background and leadership in the carrier industry and detailed understanding of the challenges and opportunities fleets face in converting to CNG will be important to our continued success.’
Over the course of his career, Phillips has held numerous leadership positions in marketing, sales and operations in the transportation industry. Prior to joining TruStar Energy, he was senior vice president of fleet resources at Werner Enterprises. In that role, he managed all equipment, terminal, security and sustainability operations, as well as the testing and on-boarding of the company's CNG fleet.
