TruStar Energy, a California-headquartered developer of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations, has promoted Scott Edelbach to general manager in charge of the company's construction and service operations.

In 2009, Edelbach founded Vocational Energy, a company focused on developing CNG stations for vocational fleets. In 2012, Fortistar acquired Vocational Energy, renamed it TruStar Energy and expanded the company's focus with new offerings, including long-term fuel provider agreements, station and vehicle financing, and the development of TruStar Energy-branded stations throughout the U.S. Edelbach most recently served as vice president of sales for TruStar Energy before this new promotion.

Prior to starting Vocational Energy, Edelbach worked at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Co. for close to two decades. Rising through the ranks, he finished his career at McNeilus as vice president of the refuse division, generating $320 million in refuse truck sales.

‘Without a doubt, Scott is one of the smartest and most experienced people in the CNG fueling station business,’ says Adam Comora, president of TruStar Energy. ‘His drive, knowledge and leadership have profoundly contributed our company's rapid growth, and as general manager, he will continue to play a key role in our long-term success.’
