Trillium CNG has completed a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station for the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) in Glenwood Springs, Colo.
RFTA, which operates a fleet of buses in and around Aspen and Glenwood Springs, is in the midst of converting a number of its vehicles to natural gas. The agency expects to have a third of its buses running on CNG by this fall.
‘We are pleased and excited to be working with RFTA, a recognized leader of innovative solutions within the public transportation sector,’ says Charles Koontz, Trillium's vice president of commercial operations.
Trillium CNG was awarded the station development contract following a competitive procurement process. The company, a unit of Integrys Transportation Fuels LLC, specializes in CNG facility design, construction, operation and maintenance.
