Natural gas refueling facility specialist Trillium CNG and Golden Eagle Distributors Inc., a large beverage distributor and heavy-duty fleet operator, have opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Casa Grande, Ariz.
This 24/7 public-access site is located on Golden Eagle property and will primarily serve the company's own fleet of natural gas vehicles (NGVs). However, the station is open to all consumers, and Trillium CNG offers special fuel-pricing programs to fleets.
The station, which is at 1000 N. Jefferson Ave. in Casa Grande, was designed to accommodate all NGVs, including Class 8 trucks. The facility features Trillium CNG's proprietary ‘hydraulic intensifier,’ which provides an ‘ultra-fast refueling experience,’ the company says.
Golden Eagle debuted its Casa Grande-based NGV fleet with an initial five trucks last summer. The company had already deployed two dozen NGVs in Tucson in late 2011, which were supported by a fueling station that came online in September 2012. Trillium CNG also led construction of that facility, which is located at 705 E. Ajo Way in Tucson.
