Advanced Disposal, a refuse and recycling company that operates in more than a dozen states, has opened its newest compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station in partnership with TruStar Energy.
The new facility is located in Detroit, where Advanced Disposal will use a large time-fill component to refuel its fleet of 56 CNG-powered heavy-duty refuse vehicles. This is the sixth CNG station that TruStar has developed for Advanced Disposal.
The new fleet of natural gas vehicles will support the company's work for the City of Detroit.
‘This is our largest municipal contract startup to date, and the replacement of 56 diesel trucks with clean-burning CNG is great for the environment and the citizens of Detroit,’ says Chad Marks, Advanced Disposal's vice president for procurement and technology.
