New York-based Paraco Gas, one of the largest propane companies in the Northeast, recently added a propane-powered 2012 Nissan NV cargo van to its fleet. Dubbed the ‘Paraco Gas Green Machine,’ the bi-fuel van was converted by American Alternative Fuel and is available for test drives.
‘Customers easily understand that they can save money and reduce emissions by using autogas, but they're still skeptical of power and performance issues,’ explains Andy Mirchin, director of autogas sales at Paraco Gas. ‘Taking the van out for a drive helps to relieve any concerns that the vehicle will not perform up to their expectations.’
Paraco Gas serves customers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut, and the company is a part of the Alliance AutoGas network.
