Tom O'Brien, managing director, president and CEO of full-service truck-stop firm TravelCenters of America (TA), will be delivering the keynote address at the 2013 ACT Expo next month in Washington, D.C., says conference organizer Gladstein, Neandross and Associates.
O'Brien's presence at the event follows a company announcement earlier this year that TA would be partnering with Shell Oil Products U.S. to build natural gas fueling lanes at existing TA locations along U.S. interstate highways.
‘TA, together with Shell, is putting forth significant strategic effort and investment in reaching for what may be a milestone achievement for the greater acceptance of alternative fuels by commercial vehicles,’ said O'Brien. ‘We believe our network of existing full-service travel centers is the perfect backbone upon which to construct the infrastructure to deliver natural gas for commercial over-the-road uses.’
O'Brien's address will be on Tuesday, June 25, at 12:45 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
