Ryder System Inc. has enhanced its alternative fuels website, located at ryder.com/alternativefuels, with new tools and video training for fleet owners interested in deploying natural gas vehicles (NGVs).
Fleet managers now have access to an interactive fuel-cost-savings calculator that allows customers to compare fuel costs between diesel- and natural-gas-powered commercial vehicles. Users input basic metrics such as current miles per gallon, the local price of diesel and natural gas, and the average miles driven per year, and the calculator instantly offers an estimate of annual fuel-cost savings.
A searchable compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas refueling and maintenance station locator has also been added, along with new training videos for natural gas fueling, Ryder says.
