Thompson Sanitation Inc., a refuse and recycling company based in Clarks Grove, Minn., has rolled out its first natural-gas-powered heavy-duty truck to service customers in nearby Austin.
According to coverage from the Austin Daily Herald, the company's compressed natural gas (CNG) Autocar unit is also among the first public fleet vehicles to be accessing fuel at Kwik Trip's recently opened CNG station in Austin, located on 10th Place NE.
‘We are already looking at purchasing a second CNG truck,’ Thompson route supervisor William Harmon told the Herald.
CNG retails for less than $2.00/GGE at Kwik Trip's Austin c-store. The company operates CNG fueling infrastructure at more than 30 of its locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
