The Relay Station, a truck stop located in DeSoto Parish, La., recently partnered with natural gas company Encana to add a liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling station on its site, the Shreveport Times reports.
The LNG station will be open to the public following a grand opening ceremony scheduled for Feb. 24. Until then, the pumps are open only to Heckmann Water Resources' 200 LNG-powered tractor-trailers, which haul water to and from the nearby Haynesville Shale drilling sites.
According to the report, The Relay Station plans on also adding compressed natural gas (CNG) pumps in the future.
