Reading Truck Body LLC, a manufacturer of vocational truck bodies, and OEM Systems LLC, a provider of compressed natural gas (CNG) conversions, have formed a partnership to offer CNG upfits for service trucks and fleets.
Customers can order the bi-fuel or dedicated CNG systems through a franchise commercial truck dealer using any authorized Reading distributor.
The CNG upfits will take place at Reading's Louisville, Ky., facility – which provides ship-thru capabilities and is located adjacent to the Ford Motor Co. and its Kentucky truck assembly plant. This creates additional efficiencies both in time and cost savings for small-to-large businesses and fleets nationwide, the companies explain.
“The infrastructure for CNG service stations continues to grow across the country, with companies either investing in private stations or working collaboratively in order to share the cost,” says Curtis Stephenson, director of sales for OEM Systems. “Continued growth in our industry drives demand and makes this the ideal time to partner with Reading.”
