Questar Fueling Co. has begun construction on its third public-access compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station in Texas – this one in DeSoto, south of Dallas near Interstates 20 and 35.
The DeSoto CNG station, at 650 E. Centre Park Blvd., will feature four fast-fill fueling lanes for Class 8 trucks and passenger vehicles, and will be expandable to meet future growth, the company says. Major heavy-duty fleets that have already switched to CNG, such as Swift Transportation and Dart Transit, run routine routes along I-20 and I-35.
Questar Fueling will own and operate the new station, which is scheduled for completion and commissioning in July. The company also has a large CNG station in Houston and is currently building another in San Antonio.
