Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. says it has received an order from a ‘large Kenworth dealership network’ for the company's Q-RailLITE frame-rail-mounted compressed natural gas (CNG) storage modules.
Quantum says its Q-RailLITE CNG storage module, combined with the Q-CabLITE back-of-cab CNG module, provides ‘significant weight savings and extended capacity for longer range.’
‘We are excited to be working within the Kenworth dealership network, as this represents our first opportunity to be working alongside Kenworth and their customer base,’ says Brian Olson, president and CEO of Quantum. ‘Installations by dealers and second-stage assemblers are enabling the CNG vehicle industry to continue to expand. The advancement of the dealership channel and Quantum's direct participation therein provides a cost-effective solution for CNG system installations.’
The new customer operates Kenworth dealership locations in the U.S. and Canada. Quantum will train personnel from these dealerships to install and service the CNG modules.
