Propane-Powered Vans Now Operating Within Airport Shuttle Service

0

Ground transportation company Knight's Airport Limousine Service has deployed eight Ford E-350 passenger vans that run on propane autogas to serve its customer base in New England and New York.

The new shuttle vans, all of which feature propane autogas systems from ROUSH CleanTech, will primarily operate in and around Logan International in Boston and T.F. Green in Providence, R.I., but will also be available for trips to the New York airports and destinations in New England. The propane shuttles will additionally be dispatched for private events.

An above-ground 18,000-gallon propane tank located at the company's Shrewsbury, Mass., facility will provide fuel for the new fleet.

This alt-fuel vehicle deployment is among the first beneficiaries of recent legislative changes in Massachusetts that allow propane autogas vehicles to travel through the state's tunnels – a particularly important consideration for fleets operating in and around Boston.
