Propane People Inc. recently worked with CleanFUEL USA, R.W. Mercer Co. and Paul Akers Inc. to open its first propane autogas station, located at 2848 U.S. Highway 6 in Waterloo, Ind.
‘We are proud to be one of the first propane autogas fill stations in northeast Indiana,’ says Mark Gibson, owner of Propane People. ‘We have converted 20 vehicles in our own fleet and saved thousands of dollars in fuel costs.’
The project received funds from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Propane People says it is planning to install an additional 10 additional autogas stations in Indiana in the near future.
In addition to Propane People, Gibson owns and operates Gibson's Heating and Plumbing.
